BANANA NUT BREAD

 

1/3 cup margarine

1/2 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp nutmeg

1 cup mashed ripe bananas

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

 

Cream margarine and white sugar together. Mix in eggs, beat well. Mix dry ingredients together and add bits alternately with bananas to main mixture. Blend well after each addition. Stir in nuts.

Pour into well greased 9"x5"x3" loaf pan. Bake in oven at 175C/350F for 45 to 50 minutes or till done. Remove from pan, cool on rack. Wrap and store overnight.
