LEMON BUTTER

 

(My Grandma's)

 

2 cups granulated sugar

5 large or 6 medium eggs

1/2 lb margarine

3 lemons, juice and grated rind

OR 1/3 cup Realemon AND 1 tsp lemon flavoring

 

Mix eggs and sugar well. Add other ingredients and cook over medium heat until slightly thicker than heavy cream. To make it thicker use 1 more egg.
