PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
1 cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter
1 cup margarine/butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Cream peanut butter, margarine and sugars together.
Blend in eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
Add to first mixture and mix well.
Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Flatten slightly and crisscross with back of fork
Bake at 325F/165C for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Approximately 7 dozen cookies.
