RICH ALMOND PASTE

 

10 oz ground almonds

8 oz caster sugar

8 oz icing sugar

2 eggs, small

1 tsp almond essence (optional)

 

Place dry ingredients in a bowl.

Add essence, then just enough beaten egg to make a stiff base.

Sufficient for 8 to 9 inch cake.
