SWISS STEAK

Mom

 

2 lbs round steak (1 to 2" thick)

salt

pepper

garlic salt

flour

fat

796 ml tomatoes (28 oz can)

2 medium onions, sliced

1 stalk celery, chopped fine

2 tsps Worcestershire sauce

 

Season meat with salt, pepper and garlic salt.

Sprinkle with flour.

Pound to tenderize.

Cut meat into serving sized pieces and brown in the fat.

Add tomatoes, onions, celery and Worcestershire sauce.

Cover and simmer gently until tender  (2 to 2-1/2 hours).
